Year 3 is upon us. We have more memories to collect and more places to revisit. Grab your favorite hunter and journey swiftly across Middle-Earth. Or don’t. It’s perfectly fine if you want to wait till all 10 years are released and do them all together. In fact, it’s probably more efficient that way. Either way, here’s your guide to year 3.

Year 3 Travels: Heights & Depths (Recommended level: 60; Moria, Caras Galadhon access)
Remember that you can travel to Minas Tirith by “touring” a house in the Gondor premium housing area then taking the swift horse near the eastern entrance of the neighborhood. The housing broker at the boar fountain in Bree can hook you up.

Year 3 Trifles: This Time with Feeling 1 (Recommended level: 75)
You’ll have to access these instances through the Instance Join panel (no hunters needed!) and you can set the level on some of these so you might be able to solo them. If not, grab some buddies and lessen the load on the server! For two of these instance, you must discover the instance entrance before you can jump in.
For Sâri-surma in Forochel take the boat west of Sûri-kylä (19.5N, 73.8W).
For the Foundry in Dunland, travel to the Ox-clan Encampment in Nan Curunir (79.9S, 0.4E). The quest “Hope for the Hopeless” from Mabon near the auction hall in Galtrev will transport you directly there. If you’ve done that quest already, there should be a swift travel horse near the Galtrev stables.

Can’t seem to find the plauge of the former steward boromir in Minas Tirith. Looked in both second and first tier, but can seem to find it anywhere.

Does Mordrith have to be flexed at in Carn Dûm proper, or is there some other instance that works?
I freaking hate Carn Dûm. Always get lost.

I did this in the actual instance, and while I haven’t tried other quest instances, I’ve heard reports that it wasn’t working.

The instance Mordirith’s Fall from the Reflecting Pool in Aughaire doesn’t work. It has to be Carn Dum proper

its very easy you run staight in towards the tower if you go laft the first tower entrance leads to helcham. now flex to mordrith before entering battle mode!

I share my observations so far. Doing it duo lvl105 cappy or hunter with lvl54 guardian.
Easiest part for lvl50+ (at least 45 with Moria access) is obviously travels part. Fortunately you actually don’t need Caras Galadhon access (friend rep with Galadhrims). There are 2 ropes now just before entrance: 1 for epic quest (lvl75) and 1 for scavenger hunt. I was able to use it to and finish that part. I also completed Boromir part but that one was a challenge to defend my guard from many mobs on Pelennor fields and Talath Anor. I had to come back to MT through housing broker several times but I did it eventually. It should be easier for actual person following lvl105 toon since you can escape or defend when needed, my guard was on follow…
Unfortunately it is not possible anymore to do all quests on low level character because for trifles you probably need to be at least lvl75 to do foundry. I checked that at lvl55 it is not possible to join Sari-Surma lvl65 because you need discovery deed (normally you can join instances up to 10 levels below it’s level). I was able to use a boat in Forochel but that deed didn’t trigger, it’s level gated probably. I think similar requirement is with The Foundry.

I was able to do this in the after-battle version of Minas Tirith. I had to be pretty close to the chair, though.

You don’t kneel before the throne, it waits for a king for more than 1000 years afaik. You kneel before that small chair nearby which is used by a steward Denethor. Knowing lore helps 🙂
