In addition to new regions and new instances, Update 18 will slowly release 14 new dye colors. We caught a glimpse of these during the beta for Update 17.1, but although the actual colors weren’t implemented, we learned that these dyes intend to be bartered during the seasonal festivals – some with festival tokens earned in-game and some with Mithril Coins. That’s when they had all of the festivals turned on at the same time, but we haven’t been able to confirm which dyes come from which festival during this beta session.
New dyes have been added to the seasonal festivals! Look for four new exclusive dyes available in the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter festivals this year. In each festival, two of the new dyes will be available for festival currency, and two will be available for Mithril Coins. The dyes available for Mithril Coins this year will be available for festival currency next year, and vice versa.
However, this quote from the patch notes implies that there will only be four new dyes from festivals. Where will the other ten come from? Or will there be four new dyes in EACH festival? That’s two dyes too many. I’m confusing myself now.
While we’re waiting to see how these dyes unfold, feel free to stock up on festival tokens as you will be able to exchange one festival’s tokens for another after the update.
