Riders of Rohan – Expansion Content vs. Expansion Quests

The LOTRO store is back up after the release of Riders of Rohan and if you’ve been confused all this time about what’s offered in the LOTRO store for the new expansion, your questions should now be answered. If you haven’t pre-ordered, there are now two choices for you to experience the Riders of Rohan expansion: “Expansion: Riders of Rohan” for 4295 Turbine Points and “Expansion Quests: Rohan” for 1495 TP.

The Expansion Quests is just that, the quests of Rohan and none of the extra frills that are included with the full expansion. The Expansion contains the Expansion Quests plus the mounted combat light and heavy trait trees, skirmish trait max rank 40, Steed of the Eastemnet, title Friend of the Mark and the ever-important instance cluster when it releases later. Both items are listed in the store under Account > Quests & Content > Expansions or by searching for Rohan.

Note: As of this post, you do not receive the matching war-steed barding from the Steed of the Eastemnet with the purchase of the Expansion from the LOTRO Store.

Instead of buying the entire Expansion, you may choose to purchase the items you wish bit by bit, though it may not be the most economical. For example, as of this writing, the heavy and light mounted combat trait trees go for 595 TP each.

There are also plenty of new items in the store if you’re so inclined to purchase them including maps, crafting materials and a brand-new War-steeds category. And as always, the epic story is free to play.

Reproduced below is the full text of the store items and what is included in them:
